Mealey

Mealey had four hits and drove in eight runs over the two games against RCB.

His great-great grandfather Michael Mealey was Minneapolis police chief from 1911 to 1912.

By 8 a.m., there was a line of voters from the entrance, to around the corner of Randolph Town Hall, where voting took place; however, Mealey said that most of the crowd was for the presidential election.

Mealey said if there’s anything his grandma would have wanted to spend money on, it would be helping others.

A viewing will be held Wednesday at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, from 4-7 p.m. A second viewing is scheduled for 11-noon Thursday at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Sixth and West streets, Wilmington, with the funeral Mass to follow.

Mealey is a biology major at UMF, with hopes to continue working with insects after graduation, and later continuing her studies in entomology.

Mealey is a Catechetical Institute graduate, and she said she experienced “wonderful ah-ha” moments throughout the two-year certificate program.

In a 1996 experiment, for example, Linda Mealey and her colleagues found that people were better at remembering the faces of people when those faces were associated with stories about those individuals cheating (such as embezzling money from a church).
