There are options to order gluten free meals, bland meals, vegetarian and diabetic meals.

Parkes Meals on Wheels produces, on average, 150 nutritious and delicious fresh meals and 150 frozen meals from its new kitchen on Forbes Road, for clients across the Parkes shire each week.

Although we won’t actually serve meals on Saturday and Sunday, we will have extra breakfast and lunch meals to help support our students over the weekend until meals resume the following Monday.

Here’s a shout-out to restaurateur, Nick Pitillo, who is providing frozen meals not only to the public, but to help the public donate meals to the needy – at last count 6251 meals donated – in one week!

Meals and snacks will likely be individually packaged, such as boxed or bag lunches, heater meals, and/or Meals-Ready-To-Eat (MRE).

Three of these meals would be full meals, while the afternoon and after dinner meals would be lighter.

Besides the school pantry and mobile pantry programs, Feeding San Diego serves children through the summer meals program, after-school meals program, backpack program, community and agency partner programs, and CalFresh outreach.

Meals on Wheels San Diego County, a leading organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals and vital support to seniors in need, has announced the appointment of Keith Fisher as its chief operating officer.

Meals serve two or four people, and you can get between three to five meals per week.

Since Aldi’s partnership with Neighbourly began in 2019, Aldi stores across the country have already donated more than 35 million meals - including over seven million meals so far this year.

The meals come with printed recipe cards that state how many calories, servings, and how long the meals take to make.
