Daniel and Christian Allen serve pork pozole for the judges at Sunday's 23rd annual Latino Food Festival Menudo & Pozole Cook-Off.

Having spent three hours Saturday scrubbing and washing meat for menudo, she brought in her 76-year-old mother to approve how much of the different ingredients needed to go into the dish.

Topete kept some of the key ingredients of her menudo secret but she did say that the recipe dates back over 100 years.

Pozole and menudo will also be available all day.

That’s right: Menudo took the themes of and reimagined them inside of a gigantic pinball machine.
