The 72-member Union Council of Ministers, which was administered the oath of office by President Droupadi Murmu, included 30 Cabinet Ministers, 36 Ministers of State and 5 Ministers of State (independent charge).

The list of 71 ministers in the new coalition government comprises of 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State (MoS) with independent charge, and 36 Ministers of State (MoS).

There are 18 cabinet ministers, nine ministers of state with independent charge and 13 ministers of state, in addition to two deputy chief ministers — Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma.

G8 ministers also meet throughout the year, such as the G7 finance ministers (who meet four times a year), G8 foreign ministers, or G8 environment ministers.

Currently, the Odisha Council of Ministers has only 19 ministers instead of 22 ministers, which includes the chief minister.

State House has backed the provision of Public Relations Officers (PROs) for Ministers and deputy ministers saying the PROs will help in promoting the image of the ministers.
