Campus spokesperson Dan Mogulof confirmed that the information session with Palantir was canceled by the company, and added that UC Berkeley does not receive profits from the tech giant.

Mogulof said public perception of the investigation should not be swayed by “armchair” law enforcement officials.

If the Shapiro event happened again next year, the students would be responsible for the same or similar cost, Mogulof said.
