With assistance from Police Scotland West and Arrochar MRTs, the team members lowered the casualty by stretcher back to the hydro tracks behind the Cruachan Dam.

An expansive Southern Railway-owned space fronting the Taramani MRTS station has been turned into an urban forest and a butterfly forest.

The Southern Railway planned to integrate the MRTS with the suburban and Metro services by extending the tracks from Velachery to St. Thomas Mount.

But employees in MRTS will go back to Railways and to operate the system, Chennai Metro Rail will redeploy its own staff after training, officials said.

Setting up the authority is a pre-requisite for getting clearance and assistance from the Centre for the MRTS projects.

MRTS which covers from Chennai Beach to Velachery,and metro rail also running between Alandur and koyambedu station.
