He worked with the Newfoundland Travelling Theatre Company, the Mummers’ Troupe collective and was instrumental in the creation of Rising Tide Theatre.

Some of the highlights this afternoon include performances by the Ballycullane Mummers, as well as the Enniscorthy Comhaltas group.

Then at 10.30pm, the festival of lights will take place where there will be a parade of lit-up trucks that will be led by a torch-lit parade from the Irvinestown Community Mummers, in what will be a truly tremendous occasion.

Mumming The English mummers play occasionally involves Morris or sword dances either incorporated as part of the play or performed at the same event.
