Negroni

Negroni on tap, several other Campari-based cocktails, a non-alcoholic Negroni, all manner of spritzes (including a Spritz popsicle), a medley of martinis and more.

It could be a number of different cocktails depending on my mood: cosmopolitan, negroni or margarita.

It is best known for its “Dante Martini” and “Dante Negroni,” both of which are mixed to perfection.

Also unlike the original Dunhill, Bar Raval’s version is served on the rocks, stirred in a double rocks glass with Kold-Draft cubes, the way some might opt to make a Negroni.

Negroni on Acid: Ford’s gin, acid-adjusted Campari, Italian vermouth, egg white.

Some of their special cocktails include the Enzo Negroni, as well as the Steinway and Ditmars, named after the street he grew up on.

The Bitter Pinot — a cocktail which falls somewhere in between the Negroni, Americano and Milano-Torino — calls for bitter Campari, Azaline sweet vermouth, a touch of sloe gin and a splash of soda water.

There are whole lines of canned nonalcoholic cocktails on the market, like the Phony Negroni and Ghia’s refreshing spritzes in flavors such as sumac and chili or lime and salt.

A negroni that swaps the Campari for an orange wine twist?

Beverage consultant, Linda Salinas has created several new cocktails such as the spicy pineapple margarita, the Aztec Negroni (Gracias a Dios Oaxacan gin, Campari and sweet vermouth) and the Carajillo (Licor 43 and espresso).

David Wondrich, a cocktail historian who has tracked the Negroni’s rise, was once served one made with Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce, made by a bartender who apparently had confused the drink with the Bloody Mary.

Similar to the Negroni week concept, Bee’s Knees strives to raise funds and awareness for bee conservation.

At Jason Cheek’s Smoked Hickory Sweet Southern Negroni is in support of Lovin’ Spoonfuls.

Bartender Kelsey Burcombe has created a variation on the Negroni at Deckers, where the demand for gin based-drinks is on the up.

Be sure to tuck into one of the cocktails, too — we’d recommend the Black Negroni, but there’s something to suit most drinkers here.

One can become very fond of Bar Américain and very quickly: passing through Piccadilly Circus (close enough to Soho, we think), it acts as a magnet – a quick negroni becomes a temptation impossible to resist.

The Elderflower Negroni is made with St. Germain, Dillon’s gin, Campari and sage.
