KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Col Robert Netshiunda confirmed on Tuesday investigations were continuing.

Netshiunda said police seized firearms, including rifles, money and drugs during the raid.

According to Colonel Robert Netshiunda, the South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in KZN, searches for more suspects are underway.

KZN SAPS spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda told the that reports had reached him about the accident but he had no further details.

Netshiunda said alcohol has been identified as a major contributing factor in cases of assault and other contact crimes.

Should there be any substance on the allegations, internal processes will be instituted and responsible officers will be subjected to appropriate departmental steps,” Netshiunda said.
