The Washington Post reports Nicholaus Mims, who is Black, sued in a Maryland court seeking $10 million in damages.

Here he produced a woodcut of St Jerome as a frontispiece for Nicholaus Kessler's 'Epistolare beati Hieronymi'.

The sculpture of the main portal was signed by a Nicholaus, mentioned in the lost inscription as the church's Romanesque architect.
