A 23-year-old man from has now been arrested on suspicion of eight burglary offences, theft from motor vehicle and fraud offences.

Coverdale had convictions for 81 previous offences, including 40 for theft and similar offences, 31 of those for shop theft.

In addition to the above offences, the police suspect the security chief of making baseless statements in court and firing offences.

The applicant was booked under offences of rape, assault outraging modesty of woman, stalking among others under IPC and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
