Omena

Omena’s “mayor” is elected as part of a yearly fundraiser for the Omena Historical Society.

Omena stated: “Before we drivers decided to declare our support for Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s re-election, we took so many things into consideration especially the humane policies of the Lagos State Government toward the residents and non-tribes.

The quiet of the orchard is calming as there are no noises from Jacobson and Omena roads, just farm noises from our neighbors, the Herman and Priest families.

A competition was held for its name, and some of the other entries included "sataikko" (meaning "having a hundred parts"), "omena" (apple) and "suomo" (from "Suomi", the Finnish name for Finland).
