Ostinato

Boogie-Woogie style was characterized by a regular bass figure, an ostinato or riff and shifts of level in the left hand, elaborating each chord and trills and decorations in the right hand.

Each region in Georgia has its own traditional music; polyphonic dialogue over a bass background and ostinato-like soloists in the east, complex improvised harmonies in the west, and solid moving chords in Svaneti.
