The deal on the third-generation Oura ring is impressively low and this is likely because Oura recently launched the ring 4. So, should you buy the newer model over the less expensive ring 3 that’s on sale right now?

The Oura Ring 3 connects to the Oura app on your smartphone using Bluetooth, and it syncs with for a comprehensive snapshot of your health metrics.

In the same way that hospitals clip a gadget onto your finger to get a ton of biometric feedback, so too does the Oura Ring.

It’s not just a case of paying a single price and living happily ever after with your Whoop or Oura Ring, as both have a subscription cost you need to pay to continue to see and benefit from your data.

I understand Oura will want to make sure any new features are fully tested, and that this takes time.

I’ve been comparing it to the third-generation Oura Ring with its new sleep staging algorithm.

Oura does have some brick and mortar presence already, but nothing that rivals the Best Buy deal.
