Pastoret

The Duluth Fire Department responded to the Paul Robeson Ballroom and Pastoret Terrace buildings, formerly home to the Kozy Bar, 129 E. First St., just after 10:30 p.m. on a report of smoke in the air.

The boarded up Pastoret Terrace, former home of the Kozy Bar, is seen Monday.

Emmanuel Pastoret published in 1787 his Zoroaster, Confucius and Muhammad, in which he presents the lives of these three "great men", "the greatest legislators of the universe", and compares their careers as religious reformers and lawgivers.

The major undertaking of this period, however, was a commission obtained in August 1820 with the help of de Pastoret, to paint The Vow of Louis XIII for the Cathedral of Montauban.
