Pegmatite

Nomenclature Pegmatites can be classified according to the elements or mineral of interest, for instance "lithian pegmatite" to describe a Li-bearing or Li-mineral bearing pegmatite, or "boron pegmatite" for those containing tourmaline.

Hence, pegmatite is often characterised by sampling the individual minerals which comprise the pegmatite, and comparisons are made according to mineral chemistry.

Additional exploratory field work is ongoing, focused on geophysical and soil programs around the Gullwing, Tot and Little Wing pegmatite group.

A maiden program is being prepared to drill the Decoy pegmatite and details will be disclosed in the February update.

Beyond Minerals now has a significant position in every major LCT pegmatite district known in Ontario, making it the most significant greenfield lithium exploration company in the province.

Numerous drill-ready lithium targets have been identified within each pegmatite zone.

Pegmatite dykes have also been encountered on the Harth Lithium Project, which is 8 km west of the Wesley Lithium Project.

The 200-kilogram sample produced a 6 per cent lithium oxide concentrate which, according to company president JC St-Amour, bodes well for “a high recovery and elevated lithium concentrates” from the granite pegmatite dykes.

The Buda Pegmatite Property is located 50 kilometres west of the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario, along Highway 17/11.

The CV5 pegmatite is still open along strike, and the resource does not include other pegmatites at Corvette.

The goal will be to correlate the drill results with the surface anomalies and determine the potential for spodumene bearing pegmatite bodies to be present in the vicinity of the anomalous lithogeochemical target areas.

The project is geologically situated in the Cat Lake portion of the Winnipeg River Pegmatite Field and is road accessible.

The project spans 256 hectares and features mineralization hosted in pegmatite.

The property is underlain by the Auclair Formation, consisting mainly of paragneisses of probable sedimentary origin which surround the pegmatite dykes to the northwest and southeast.

Third drill rig to be mobilised to Adina in coming weeks to further investigate potential strike length and depth extension of main pegmatite body and follow up on other gravity targets.

Additionally, the Corvette Property hosts multiple other spodumene pegmatite clusters that remain to be drill tested, as well as more than 20 km of prospective trend that remains to be assessed.

Following extensive research efforts, AM Resources has not conducted any work program on this property yet, but historical drilling has identified the presence of pegmatite bodies bearing spodumene.

Southward, the same type of pegmatite is hosted in amphibolite.
