Pridefest

Advocates carry quilts in honor of those who have died from AIDS in the Pridefest Parade in St. Louis on June 29, 2014.

PrideFest was scheduled to take place on June 19-21 and events included the ninth annual Pride Block Party, the second annual Pride at the Beach and other Pride Week celebrations.

Decorated with Pride flags and rainbow lights, PrideFest was the opening ceremony for a series of events at the university throughout LGBTQ History Month.

Maybe you recognize Debbie Scheer from PrideFest on the Center Stage, performing comedy, or maybe as the MC or auctioneer from a local fundraiser.

Sunday’s PrideFest Parade brings tradition to the proceedings, stepping off from Cheesman Park at 9:30 a.m. and marching down East Colfax Avenue to Civic Center Park, with thousands of spectators lining the route and plenty of rainbow colors.

Denver PrideFest is brought to you by the Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich, engage, empower and advance the LGBTQ community of Colorado.
