The Campbeltown Parish Church Men’s Bowling Club prizewinners.

Gerry McNulty, Secretary of Irvinestown Fairs and Markets Trustees, announced the prizewinners during the Fair Day at Castle Irvine, with this year’s Lady of the Lake, Nicola Johnston, presenting prizes to the winners.

BelTA reported earlier that the open address had been supported by champions and prizewinners of the Olympic Games, many famous athletes.

Independent adjudicators will view the displays over the fortnight and choose the prizewinners based on content, use of Irish, creativity and variety.

So our critics singled out highlights from more than 70 years of festival glory, as well as a few less-than-stellar prizewinners.
