Gym manager Ben Griffiths said: 'We're really excited to bring PureGym to Yate, our members will love our affordable prices, brand new equipment and selection of classes.

Marketing material described it as 'perfectly placed for everyone' on the outskirts of Southend while close to a PureGym, a Waitrose, several schools and nearby train stations.

PureGym will welcome members to its new branch in South Road, Haywards Heath, on June 28 at 12pm.

A message on its website said it had launched 'PureGym Home', bringing workouts, on-demand classes, and ideas for nutrition and well-being, through its app.

Liam Catling, who manages PureGym in Kirkcaldy, Fife, says peoplehave been keen to try the gym, which had been due to open for the first timethe day before lockdown began.

There is already an existing PureGym within Exeter City Centre at Fore Street and the applicant company provides access to high quality gym facilities on an affordable and flexible basis.
