Quaintance initially visited Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Missouri, Ohio State and USF.

But Judge Kathryn Quaintance sentenced the 33-year-old to a sentence identical to the recommendation under state guidelines.

But she also said she could see Quaintance going for the four-year recommended sentence for manslaughter — or no prison time at all.

Quaintance also denied a defense request to show potential jurors a video about unconscious bias.

Quaintance said the matter was out of her hands.

Defense attorney Tom Plunkett asked Hennepin County District Judge Kathryn Quaintance to free Noor on his own recognizance, saying he isn’t a flight risk, has a young family and no connections to anyplace else.
