Seattle was once a pioneer for car-sharing, home to car2go, BMW ReachNow, and LimePods.

It costs 40 cents per minute to drive a LimePod versus 45 cents for ReachNow and car2go.

ReachNow is speaking with other vendors with the goal of restarting operations as soon as possible, although there’s no official timeline yet for that to happen.

ReachNow’s 75 employees learned they were losing their jobs just hours before the company told customers that the car-sharing service was shutting down.

It’s definitely fun to drive and mimics the feel of ReachNow’s MINI options.

ReachNow lets users choose from a variety of BMW and Mini vehicles for short- or long-term sharing.
