It appears as though Riddler has murdered the mayor of Gotham, Don Mitchell Jr. - and it's likely his funeral the Riddler seemingly crashes.

But instead, Batman destroys the Riddler's brainwave collecting device, causing the Riddler to suffer a mental breakdown.

Batwoman and The Riddler don’t cross paths that often, and on the few occasions when they have, it’s the villain that has fared much better.

Also playing notable villains in the movie are Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, with Robert Pattinson in the lead role as Bruce Wayne.

A major sequence in the trailer sees the Riddler crashing Mitchell's funeral by hiving someone drive a car into the ceremony.

And as Catwoman recovers, she looks to even the score and get some payback with a little help from her friends: Riddler and Oswald Cobblepot.

At least Riddler's turn is being taken with a new sense of fashion and style.

Batman knows what he needs to do, but in order to stop the plot, he must first escape the most ingenious death trap the Riddler has ever devised.
