Darcy Draeger, a full-time farmer and part-time activist, will serve as executive director of Districts for Democracy, a group founded by former Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) to combat bids by conservative groups to take control of local school boards.

Mitchelle Drulis, who served as district director to Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) from 2019 until last month, has emerged as the likely candidate to replace Jaffer.

Kean first got to office in 2022 by unseating Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) in a bitter and extremely expensive contest.
