Rockery

The area where the shelter stood was originally a rockery and bench area.

The finished garden contains a lavender pathway, a bug hotel, a willow arch, some fruit trees, a garden bench, a bird bath and feeders and a herb garden, as well as shrubs and a rockery.

Outside, there is a mature garden with an extensive lawn, plants, shrubs and trees, as well as paved seating areas, a storage shed, greenhouse and established rockery area.

We had garden rockery day, painting day, different days for different tasks and we all learned how to do things.

I’ve taken out a pavement or two in my life, once hurtling straight over the “rockery” at a shopping centre in Farrarmere.

Care for the rockery plants with regular watering, compost enriched but well-drained soil and a soluble feed now and then.
