A statement from Sir Elton and the Rocketman filmmakers to the Press Association states: "We reject in the strongest possible terms the decision to pander to local laws and censor Rocketman for the Russian market, a move we were unaware of until today.

He is recognized for playing Eggsy in the Kingsman films and Elton John in “Rocketman,” a 2019 musical film.

In 2019, Dexter began working on Elton John's biopic Rocketman, where he once again worked with Taron Egerton.

Rocketman follows his life from his early days as a prodigy all the way through his dizzying rise and self-destruction exacerbated by substance abuse and alcohol addiction.

At the Oscars, he took home the award for best original song for "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" from the musical biopic about his life, "Rocketman".

If you prefer a new release to something you've seen before, perhaps Rocketman, Judy or Joker will tempt you.

In that sense, 1917 and Sam Mendes got a nice boost, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Quentin Tarantino maintained momentum, and Taron Egerton may have locked up a Best Actor nomination for Rocketman.

On the big screen, “1917,” “Joker” and “Rocketman” received two awards apiece.

Rocketman has launched — straight to a fourth national title.

Taron Egerton, a regular presence on the awards circuit this year, won best actor in a comedy or musical for his Elton John in “Rocketman” — an honor many had pegged for Eddie Murphy (“Dolemite Is My Name”).

Among the lots up for auction, attendees will be able to grab a gold coat from the Rocketman premiere, as well as a number of signed photos, framed prints and DVDs.

But two months after its release, “Rocketman” is proving less of a rocket and more of a hot-air balloon.

Elton John has been back in the spotlight with the success of “Rocketman,” the musical biopic based on his life.

For best musical or comedy, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, “Jojo Rabbit”, “Knives Out”, “Rocketman” and “Dolemite Is My Name” are in the race.

He also accused Putin of hypocrisy for saying that he wanted LGBT people to be happy after reports that gay scenes in Rocketman, the movie based on the singer’s life, had been censored in Russia.

His addiction during the earlier decade will be represented onscreen in the biopic Rocketman, starring Taron Egerton as John and Jamie Bell as his longtime lyricist Bernie Taupin.

His excesses and vices are on full display in the movie Rocketman, which he co-produced.
