Moocow, SANA- A convoy of Wagner Military Company fighters and its vehicles left the territory of Rostov province in southwestern Russia last night, Governor of Rostov Province, Vasily Golubev said.

Decisive actions will be taken to stabilise the situation in Rostov-on-Don.

He confirmed the reports of Russian fire on a Wagner Group convoy that was heading to Moscow from Rostov.

He said the force had planned to hand over the military equipment it was using in Ukraine on June 30 after pulling out of Ukraine and gathering in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.

He will play Alexander Rostov in the series alongside his real-life wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who will take on the part of Anna Urbanova.

His mercenaries took over Russia’s southern military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don and then rolled toward Moscow before abruptly halting the mutiny.

It comes after Russia said on Friday it had intercepted two Ukrainian missiles over its southern Rostov region, bordering Ukraine.

Late on Saturday, Prigozhin, the head of Russia's Wagner mercenary group, was seen leaving the district military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don after halting a rebellion against Russia's military establishment.

Most townspeople who fled to Crimea continued their journey through the Russian province of Rostov-on-Don to Moscow and eventually made it to either the Latvian or Lithuanian border.

On Friday, he accused the Russian Ministry of Defence of launching a missile attack on one of his camps, before seizing Rostov, headquarters of Russia’s southern military district, the following morning.

Prigozhin and all of his fighters vacated the military headquarters in the southern city of Rostov-on-Don that they had previously taken over, the RIA news agency reported.

Rostov-on-Don, a city some 100 kilometres from Ukraine’s border, is home to the Russian southern military district command whose army is fighting in Ukraine.

There are plans to do the same in Rostov-on-Don and Yekaterinburg.

Videos showed heavy trucks blocking highways leading to the city, long convoys of National Guard trucks were seen on a road outside Rostov-on-Don and armoured vehicles were roaming the streets.

Wagner mercenaries fighting in Ukraine who crossed into Russia on Saturday halted their advance on Moscow, withdrew from the southern Russian city of Rostov and headed back to their bases in the evening under an amnesty granting them safety.

Wagner units were able to seize Rostov-on-Don, a city of over a million inhabitants and home to the command of the Russian army's Southern Military District, without a single shot being fired in anger.
