Runningmate

President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has picked United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atuple Muluzi as his runningmate ahead of the fresh Presidential election scheduled for July 2, 2020.

While arguments from both camps made sense, the hard truth remained; this was that if the two parties had to go into an alliance, they had to settle for one person to lead the group with the other to be the runningmate.

Mr Ologbondiyan in his statement said the restriction placed on Mr Obi’s accounts capped a string of harassments he had endured since emerging as the runningmate to Atiku Abubakar in mid-October.
