Scamander

Fantastic Beasts completely failed Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander, but he can still make one more appearance in the world of Harry Potter.

His willingness to eschew conventional rules in the name of what is right lets him follow along with Newt Scamander's adventures as he discovers the magical world living right under their 'No-Mag' noses.

The film will see the return of Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander with Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, and seemingly Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald.

Though we still don't know much about either our new hero, Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander, the film itself marks a welcome return to an immersive fictional world.

The drama sees Callum Turner take on the role after most recently appearing as Theseus Scamander in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

This is a great figure for any fans of the fantastic beasts series or fans of Newt Scamander.

And I was delighted to see the return of floppy-haired Newt Scamander () and his magical menagerie of creatures, as well as a young Albus Dumbledore () and fresh details to flesh out the backstory of this much-beloved character.

Another scene features Newt and his older brother Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), an Auror, in what looks like a battle against someone unseen.

Eddie Redmayne returns as Newt Scamander, along with Ezra Miller, Katherine Waterston, and Dan Fogel.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

In any case, there’s a good chance that Scamander and Harry Potter bumped into each other in Hogwarts’ hallways during Harry’s third year.

It brought forward new characters like Tina (Katherine Waterston), Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), Grindelwald, Queenie and Kowalski (Dan Fogler).

More than this, Redmayne is playing Scamander as a different kind of action hero.

Scamander is born 80 or so years before Harry Potter, but he still has an influence on the young wizard.

The actor will be back as magizoologist Newt Scamander in “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”.

The second Harry Potter spin-off stars as a young Albus Dumbledore and reprises his role as Newt Scamander.

Theseus Scamander seems like a real catch.

Though Newt Scamander was ostensibly the lead, the camera consistently treated him otherwise, and we as an audience were not experiencing a magical new world through his eyes, but from a detached and often disinterested point of view.

The city of Troy itself stood on a hill, across the plain of Scamander, where the battles of the Trojan War took place.

The map here shows the adapted Scamander estuary with Ilium a little way inland across the Homeric plain.
