At the Wiener Schnitzel Academy, participants don’t just learn how to make a schnitzel – they learn how to craft the very best.

Attractions returning this year include a double-decker carousel, a Ferris wheel, a kids train, traditional German foods like Bratwurst and Schnitzel, the German beer garden known as The Alm, and beverages such as Glühwein and hot chocolate.

My friend chose the Shropshire chicken schnitzel with capers, a fried St Ewes egg, samphire and fries (£14.50) from the light lunch menu.

Sam is soon separated from Rueben, and the rest of the hospice team, and is left to fend for herself with only her cat (played by Nico and Schnitzel, who have been enjoying warm reviews from cat-lovers around the world) as company.

The action-filled teaser also shows Quinn, Nyong’o and Schnitzel being pursued by a number of monsters.

For lunch, there is a range of wraps and burgers, including grilled chicken wrap, schnitzel wrap, Moroccan chicken burger, waygu beef burger, cheese burger or the haloumi burger combo.

The creamy texture goes perfectly with the crisp meat, and the sweetness from the spring onions and mustard contrasts beautifully with the salty schnitzel.

Depending on the day of the week, two feature dishes are added: stuffed eggplant, a beef and potato dish called tas kebabi, stuffed whole chicken, roasted lamb, roasted chicken, meat patties called kafta and chicken schnitzel.

Germanic fare includes Bavarian-style pretzels with beer cheese, street food like currywurst, and three different kinds of schnitzel.

Lest you think the wine snobs have been left out, a well-curated wine list with a few dozen options is also available, so you will have no trouble pairing that Schnitzel with a Riesling, or Salmon with a Chardonnay.

The Hot Chicken Schnitzel ($9) will be served medium-spiced with sauerkraut, Dill’L Sauce, pickles, and either a glass of A Sunday in August Riesling ($7) or Cabernet Merlot ($7).

The most popular option is the paprika schnitzel, a pounded-thin, delicately breaded pork loin topped with an exceptionally savory bacon, onion, and paprika sauce.

The three-course option at $55 starts with a choice of Tarte Flambee or Terrine de Foie Gras, and moves to a main course choice of either garlic sausages, gammon ham and confit pork hock, or Veal Schnitzel.
