Searson was the subject of a beating on December 23, 2022, by two men linked to the Beechwood estate organised crime group - Keiran Salkeld and Jake Duffy - which was recorded on a Ring doorbell camera.

Cook-Searson said the MBC radio broadcasts are offered in Cree and Dene — languages many in the north speak.

It was the final, tragic outcome of a deadly chain of events, triggered by Duffy and Salkeld's brutal beating of a man called Sam Searson just one day earlier.

Ms Searson said: “I recognise that the Winfield Industrial Services site is possibly one of the more important sites due to its role in the manufacture of critical infrastructure.
