As many as 19 stocks out of 30 Sensex stocks ended in negative territory with SBI () as top Sensex loser, down 4.64 per cent.

Top BSE Sensex gainers: Titan Company shares were top Sensex gainers, up 2.16 per cent, followed by Maruti Suzuki, TCS, in an exchange filing said it cannot confirm or deny any transaction which may or may not be in the works.

Among the Sensex firms, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Technologies, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Mahindra & Mahindra were the major gainers.

The short-term outlook will turn negative only if Sensex falls below 59,000.

Whether the Sensex sustains above it or not will decide the short-term outlook.

All 30 Sensex constituents ended in the red, with major losers including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, and TCS.

Among the 30 Sensex firms, Reliance Industries declined over 1 per cent.

Among the Sensex firms, Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, Wipro, Axis Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, NTPC, HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the major laggards.

Both Nifty and Sensex gained for the eighth straight week, longest winning streak in seven years.
