Shallowest

Lake Erie, the shallowest of the lakes, frequently freezes completely.

As immensely talented as the Duke Blue Devils are at the top with the freshman that they’ve brought in, this might be the shallowest roster that Mike Krzyrzewski has fielded in recent memory.

However, her teacher (and my daughter), Ellie Roberts, recalls that because she was such a beginner, she was restricted to the shallowest part of the pool, where she could safely stand with her head well above the water.

Because it is the shallowest, it is also the warmest of the Great Lakes, citation and in 1999 this almost became a problem for two nuclear power plants which require cool lake water to keep their reactors cool.

Lake Erie is the shallowest of the Great Lakes because the ice was relatively thin and lacked erosion power when it reached that far south, according to one view.

Layer 1 is the shallowest layer and includes the deepest, ventilated layer in winter; it has received tritium via radioactive fallout and lost some due to advection and/or vertical diffusion and contains approximately 28% of the total amount of tritium.
