She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Thompson; her parents, Raymond and Vera Caver; two brothers, Raymond H. Caver Jr., and Donald H. Caver Sr. (Joyce); three sisters, Barbara Shewmake, Shelby Jean Caver, and Valerie Wynell Caver.

With Braden Shewmake’s brief tenure with the Atlanta club being totally forgettable, I guess the Braves wanted to see if that good, ole Charlie Culberson clutch gene was still there.

The team had a pair of first round picks and with the 21st pick, they selected Texas A&M shortstop Braden Shewmake.
