Unfortunately and against warnings from professional guides and Sherpa, both raced for Shishapangma’s top on the same day under dangerous snow conditions.

Mr Purja is now aiming to break a further record by completing the 14th and last Himilayan mountain, Mount Shishapangma, within the next two months.
