Mr Amitolu Shittu, has announced his resignation as the pioneer Director General and Field Commander of Osun Security Network Agency, locally known as Amotekun.

Shittu said their expectation through the Trade Fair was to generate awareness on their innovative products, drive higher sales and get prospective buyers.

Shittu, while speaking with The PUNCH on Friday, condoled with the immediate family of the late COAS, the Ilobu community, and Osun State over the untimely passing of the late Army chief.

In an interview with THISDAY, Shittu, said the panel released Magu following the denial by Adamu, that the police were not responsible for his detention.

Shittu further faulted the panel for embarking on verification of all assets that were recovered by the EFCC, without the knowledge or involvement of his client.

Shittu said this in a statement on Sunday titled, ‘Re: Magu faces questions over assets declaration – Fresh Propaganda Against Our Client Prejudicial to Panel Proceedings’.

But delivering judgement on Friday, P.I Ajoku, presiding judge, struck out the suit because Shittu did not file the case within the time stipulated by law.

For those who felt that Shittu’s appointment was a misfit, they based his choice on the notion that he got the position more as a compensation for his role in the 2015 election as against what he brings to the table.

In his own submissions, a law teacher, Mr. Wahab Shittu, tasked Nigerians to monitor the ministers’ activities in line with the indicators set by Buhari’s government as well as global best practices on fundamentals of good governance.
