Residents of Oyo State yesterday woke up to the news that a 19-year-old suspect, Sunday Shodipe, who allegedly killed five people at the Akinyele community of Ibadan, had escaped from police custody.

Sunday Shodipe, the alleged serial killer, who broke detention at an police station, has been rearrested.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Shodipe is standing trial for several killings in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The Police have re-arrested Sunday Shodipe, the prime suspect in the series of ritual killings at the Akinyele Local government Area of Oyo State.
