Tamgadge, while on deputation with the Central Bureau of Investigation, probed the Sohrabuddin Shaikh and Tulsiram Prajapati fake encounter cases.

An absconding CBI witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case has been arrested from Delhi by the Udaipur Police.

At the time of his death, judge Loya was hearing a controversial case involving alleged gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh, his wife and an associate.

BJP chief Amit Shah was an accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case which had happened when he was Minister of State for Home in Gujarat.

Further, the statements claim that a few days after Sohrabuddin’s encounter, Prajapati was brought to Udaipur jail.

Loya had died in 2014 when he was hearing the Sohrabuddin Sheikh ‘fake encounter’ case, in which BJP chief Amit Shah was an accused but was later discharged.

Loya, who was then hearing the high-profile Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, died of a heart attack in Nagpur on December 1, 2014, when he had gone to attend the wedding of a colleague’s daughter.

The deposition of Sohrabuddin’s brothers Nayabuddin, Shahnawazuddin and Rubabuddin, who had first filed a plea in SC for a probe into the encounter and also challenged the discharge of three policemen in HC last year, is also yet to be recorded.
