Somanya (E/R), Jan 21, GNA - Six people suspected to be members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been arrested for vandalizing the party’s office at Ogome, a suburb of Somanya in the Yilo Krobo constituency of the Eastern Region.

Somanya (E/R), April 15, GNA – The Police has arrested Rita Dede, 23, for dumping her five-year old son, Joseph Tetteh into a well at Ogome, near Somanya.

The Somanya Magistrate Court has imposed a GH¢600 fine on Salamatu Mohammed, a fried yam vendor, at Nkurakan in Yilo Krobo Municipality, Eastern Region, for selling food without medical clearance.

The suspects have arrested on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at Sawer a suburb of Somanya in the Eastern Region.

That was how the Somanya ECG office was attacked that Friday in May 2017.

She said the college has re-opened one of its regional Somanya / Akosombo campus adding that, other regional campuses at Kumasi, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Ho and koforidua should be re-opening very soon.

The 16-kilometre walk started from Kpong Junction, through the principal streets of Agormenya, Odumase and ended at the Somanya lorry park.
