Songes

Having previously circulated in manuscripts only, both poets' sonnets were first published in Richard Tottel 's Songes and Sonnetts, better known as Tottel's Miscellany (1557).

More recently, Dutilleux 's L'Arbre des Songes has proved an important addition to the repertoire and a fine example of the composer's atonal yet melodic style.

Since then, a large amount of subfossil material has been collected on Mauritius, mostly from the Mare aux Songes swamp.
