There is straight Stableford and then there is modified Stableford.

A fun competition, a Team of Three Multiplier where the best two Stableford scores on each hole were multiplied was won by Vice Captain David Walkinshaw and his team including Tom Murphy and Chris Scofield by a margin of eight points.

Catherine Drysdale won the Ladies Sunday Stableford with a score 44 points, Suzanne Reed came second with 43 points and Rose Jarvis was third with 42 points.

Last Wednesday’s Yamba ladies’ Single Stableford round was the annual fundraiser for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) and most of the ladies arrived in combinations of white and teal to celebrate the occasion.

Match Committee will convert eligible rounds to stableford points and use a countback system to decide the final field of 19 players which is to be played on 24 February at a pm tee time.

On Wednesday August 2, 32 players took to the club’s Championship Course to compete in the August Midweek Stableford.

The better ball Stableford format is a favourite of many and this was no exception for the winning pair who started their round with four points on the first hole.

THE Enmore Park Golf Club Stableford, which included the Seniors Chamberlain Salver was played on Tuesday and attracted 61 entries.

The format was a three-player team stableford with two scores to count on all holes other than the par-threes, where all three scores were to count.

The Friday Single Stableford saw 52 ladies play in very warm conditions, but there was still one very impressive score of 38 points for Marg Fishburn.

There was a good roll-up of Vets for their stableford event to Denman Golf Club on Tuesday, July 11.

Atherton made his a double as he led in division one in a seniors stableford at Styal with 40, while behind him were Neil Cowan, 38, and David O’Neill, 37.

Despite fluctuating winds and rain-softened ground, another 16-hole Pro Stableford produced some fighting golf, where level par was a more than respectable return.

Saturday’s Monthly Medal round has been pushed back until next week due to a lack of numbers, though those 13 ladies who turned up played a Stableford event.

Sunday 31st March saw 52 members take part in an Allcomers Stableford.

The following Saturday they will be playing another Individual Stableford sponsored by Club Gloucester.

The Third Division Team Championship was held at Knaresbrough on Sunday May 5. In total, 17 four-player teams competed in this Stableford competition over the yellow course.

He said the competition will be played be an individual Stableford format covering 36 Holes in two days.
