The 26-year-old was traded to the Argonauts by the Stampeders after three seasons in Calgary where he was drafted to in the third round of the 2018 draft.

The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed veteran kicker Rene Paredes to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.

The league says the Stampeders will have to decide whether or not to allow Sindani to attend other team activities, such as training camp, practices and meetings, while the suspension is in effect.

Cornerback Jonathan Moxey, defensive back Richard Leonard and running back Ante Litre are also former Stampeders.

Saturday will see the BC Lions take on the Calgary Stampeders in its home opener game.

Stampeders: Host the Montreal Alouettes (10-2) on Saturday, Sept. 14.

The BC Lions play their first home game of the season today against the Calgary Stampeders at 4:00.

The Lions and Stampeders have already met twice this season, and Friday's matchup could be the tiebreaker in the season series.
