The Striders running club placed a bench in Kirby Park in August 2015 right near where runners had raced by hundreds of times over the years in Striders sponsored races.

Pretty soon he was ready for his first race — the Wyoming Valley Striders Cherry Blossom 5-miler in Kirby Park.

Piton Striders, Hard Rock and Sallee Sixers are clubs he was involved in. He is the CEO of Hard Rock Sports Club which has won the 3rd Division, 2nd Division 5 Premier Division Championships, and several 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the Premier Division.

The Columbus County Striders team is open to all residents of Columbus County ages 6-18.
