The game between Western Gaels and Strokestown to see who would be relegated to the intermediate football championship, scheduled for Elphin, was postponed because of an unplayable pitch.

To win the Roscommon championship after competing against Roscommon, Strokestown, Elphin, Boyle and Ballaghaderreen was like winning the All-Ireland.
