Suburbanized

During the Vietnam War, TV images of maimed GIs and napalmed villages suburbanized opposition to the war and helped hasten the U.S. withdrawal.

Although much of it has become suburbanized, the surrounding area still produces farm crops, primarily corn and soybeans.

These neighborhoods tend to have more minorities and lower-income residents than the western, more suburbanized sections of the city.
