Succulents — Coming off of huge spike in popularity, succulents miss the mark in biophilia.

Lizbeth Martinez-Ramos (SFS ’24), a member of GREEN, hosted a game at the organization’s table where participants could win pumpkins and succulents if they matched the names of native species to their common names.

Located at the Langley campus greenhouses, customers shopped for a variety of plants including flowers like marigolds and irises, vegetables, fruits, various herbs, shrubs, succulents, handcrafted hanging baskets, and fertilizers.

Snug Harbor holds classes regularly, on topics ranging from succulents and topiary to flower arranging and kokedama, which is the Japanese art of growing plants in a moss ball.
