Having his 147th tour start, Ryder tied for fourth with Sahith Theegala (70) and Sungjae Im (70) at nine under.

He finished tied fifth with South Korean Sungjae Im and American Harris English on 10-under.

Adam Scott, among two players who were at Castle Pines during its two-decade run on the PGA Tour, made a long par-saving putt on the 18th for a 68 and was joined by Sungjae Im, Alex Noren and Corey Conners.

Colombia’s Camillo Villegas and South Korean Sungjae Im are also on eight under, with world number one Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Jordan Spieth among those a shot further adrift.

South Korea's Sungjae Im matched Riley for the low round of the day with a 64 and is in a tie at six-under that also features Keegan Bradley (66) and Austria's Sepp Straka (66).

His stats have been below Sungjae standards the past couple of weeks, plus a MC last week, so we're getting a break on odds.

Johnson finished with the lowest overall score in tournament history, 20 under par, and beat Cameron Smith and Sungjae Im by five strokes.

The next pairing will pit rookies Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay of the U.S. against Adam Hardwin of Canada and Sungjae Im of South Korea.
