CS-SUNN urged that nutrition should be prioritised in the country by improving budgetary allocations, releasing and cash backing those allocations while ensuring transparency and accountability in use of funds directed at addressing malnutrition.

Similarly, Ms Jessica Bartholomew, Secretary, Civil Society-Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) commended UNICEF for the efforts and urged the state government to scale up IYCF intervention in the remaining LGAs.

The state nutrition officer, Dr Henrietta Ugwu, made this known in Enugu while speaking at a one day media engagement workshop organized by Civil Society Scaling-up Nutrition (CS-SUNN) in Enugu.
