And yet earlier this week, a different message came from a new poll, by SurveyUSA.

According to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for ABC7, the percent who people who call costs a "major problem" is up from 51% to 57%, and an increasing number of Southern Californians say that "pinching pennies" is pointless.

In the U.S. Senate race, the news wasn’t so much the continued lead for Feinstein, whose 31 percent support reflected a 3 percentage point drop since SurveyUSA’s January poll.

Of the registered voters, 520 were identified by SurveyUSA as likely to vote in the June.
