Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana president Raju Shetti has decided to contest the Hatkanangle Lok Sabha seat on his own without joining any alliance тАФ ruling or Opposition.

Mr. Shetti said if the Centre does not stop the import of milk powder, or if the State does not accede to the Swabhimani Paksha’s demands, he would intensify the milk agitation, regardless of whether there was a lockdown or not.

Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana chief Raju Shetti it was “disgusting” and that the government will go to any lengths to get publicity.

Vishal Patil, the grandson of former Congress chief minister Vasantdada Patil, was on Saturday nominated as the Swabhimani Paksha candidate from the Sangli constituency.
