It remains to be seen if Tappen will be doing anything else for NBC until the college football season starts back up.

The afternoon game on NBC, also streaming on Peacock (though not exclusively), between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers will be called by NBC’s Big Ten primetime team of Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge, and Kathryn Tappen.

Having previously served on air at NHL Network from 2011-15, Tappen reacted to returning to cover the NHL nearly a decade later.
